China Trademark Classification (2026 version)

China follows the international Nice Classification system, covering 45 classes of goods and services. However, CNIPA further divides these classes into similar groups (subclasses) and specific goods and services. For China trademark registration, selecting the correct Nice Class is only the first step; the specific goods or services and their corresponding similar groups must also be selected according to the current Chinese classification system. To help international applicants navigate this system, we provide an English version of the China Trademark Classification (2026) based on the classification information published by CNIPA. After selecting your classification, you may conduct a preliminary search under the corresponding classes to avoid conflicts with prior registered trademarks.
