Question:My trademark has expired, and now I need to apply for an extension. How do I do it? Is it submitted directly in the renewal application module?
Response:According to Article 40 of the Trademark Law and Article 33 of the Implementing Regulations of the Trademark Law, the term of validity of a registered trademark is ten years. After the term of validity expires, if the trademark is to be continued in use, the renewal procedures should be handled within twelve months before the expiration date; if not done within this period, a six-month extension period can be granted.
You can apply for it in the Trademark Online Application System – Trademark Subsequent Application – Trademark Renewal Application.
